The President's House in Philadelphia

A visit to the Archaeology

Upon completion of the dig, the work begins to sort and catalog all the artifacts uncovered. Here are several examples. You can visit them at the Independence Living History Center Archaeology Laboratory, 143 South Third Street (directly across from the First Bank of the United States). The Archaeology Laboratory is open to visitors Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Click pictures for enlargements.
