The President's House in Philadelphia




Oney Judge Day, 2008

February 25 is declared Oney Judge Day and celebrated at 6th and Market Streets in Philadelphia, at the site of the President's House. Michael Coard, from ATAC (Avenging the Ancestors Coalition), presides over the event. Speakers include historian Edward Lawler, Jr., archaeologist Cheryl LaRoche, Independence National Historical Park's new superintendent Cynthia MacLeod, President's House Commemoration designer Emmanuel Kelly, and Joseph Meade, a representative of City Council. Mr. Coard read proclamations issued by both City Council and the Mayor's office, to the public and the press.
