Philadelphia today is a very Democratic city but this wasn't always so. This website, ushistory.org, is completely nonpolitical, but we wanted to offer some resources for right-leaning visitors to feel right at home when visiting.

Philadelphia has hosted the Republican National Convention many times, including in the year 2000. To a great extent, Philadelphia is the home of the GOP. The first Republican Party Convention was held here in 1856 and Philadelphia has hosted the convention 6 times. The GOP and Philadelphia tell a rich American story of triumph, defeat, heroes, politicians, and history.
