NHD Philly 2022 Info Sheet

Registration Dates

NOTE: This year the registration deadline will be separate from project submission deadlines.

• February 1, 2022: Registration for NHD Philly opens and is open for two weeks
• February 14, 2022: Registration closes

*Late registrations cannot be accepted*

Project Submission Deadlines

• March 7: Websites and Papers Submission Deadline
• March 14: Documentary Submission Deadline
• March 21: Exhibit and Performance Submissions Deadline

Contest Dates:

NHD Philly projects will be judged weekly by category this year, similar to the 2021 contest.

• Week of March 14 - Paper and Website Judging
• Week of March 21 - Documentary Judging
• Week of March 28 - Exhibit and Performance Judging

Contest Results:

Results will be posted on social media and our website afterwards.

Important Reminders:

• Classroom mentors are available by request to meet virtually with students and teachers.
• Senior Division: Grades 9-12; Junior Division: Grades 6-8
• Project Limit: Each school is limited to 27 projects at NHD Philly.
• Students cannot reuse projects or research from previous years. It is one of the things (along with tampering with someone else's entry or plagiarism) that are grounds for disqualification, according to the NHD rulebook.
