The park is open daily with the exception of Christmas Day. The major park sites are generally open from 9 am - 5 pm with extended hours of operation during the summer months.

TICKETS ARE REQUIRED TO TOUR INDEPENDENCE HALL!!!

Holiday Hours:
On Christmas Eve (December 24, 2008) all park buildings will close at 2:00 p.m.

On Christmas Day (December 25, 2008) all park buildings will be closed.

On New Year’s Day (January 1, 2009) only Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Center will be open 11:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Did You Know?
George Washington, the nation’s first president, ran his two administrations in Philadelphia from his rented house near the corner of Sixth and Market Streets. Wife Martha, two young grandchildren and as many as 24 servants, including enslaved men and women from Mount Vernon, made up his household.
