National Briefing: Mid-Atlantic: Pennsylvania: Park Service Changes Its Plans

The National Park Service has agreed to modify plans for the new Liberty Bell Center at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia to reflect more fully the role of slavery in the nation's origins. The center will be situated over part of the mansion where George Washington lived with his slaves during most of his presidency.
