MAC's Annual Recognition Luncheon
The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC) celebrates its 16th Annual Recognition Luncheon by honoring industry and community leaders for their accomplishments in support of MAC's mission. This annual luncheon is the largest and only gathering of diverse hospitality professionals in the city that are dedicated to increasing Philadelphia's recognition as a top multicultural tourism and convention city.
2010 Award Recipients:
- Outstanding Recognition Award: The Enslaved Africans being commemorated at the President's House
- Bring It Home Award: Deirdre Childress, Melanie Burney and Sarah Glover- National and Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists
- Community Impact Award: Rev. Luis A. Cortes, Jr.- Esperanza
- Industry Appreciation Award: E. Steven Collins — Radio One Philadelphia
- Lifetime Achievement: Tom Muldoon — Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau
- Pioneer Award: Mae Reeves — Famous Philadelphia Milliner
- Share the Heritage Award: Jeri Lynne Johnson — Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra and the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival
