  • Pennsylvania 1630-1700: Enjoy a brief history of the area today known as Pennsylvania, from the Dutch and Swedish pioneers to Penn's Charter.
  • "Pennsylvania Revolution" by Roland M. Baumann, Oberlin College. The events leading up to Pennsylvania's call for a provincial conference and convention in the summer of 1776.
  • Birth of the Commonwealth: Transcription of the proceedings establishing the Commonweath of Pennsylvania, June 18-25, 1776, at Carpenters' Hall. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission resolved "that Carpenters' Hall be recognized as the official birthplace of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" and in 1982 at Harrisburg, House Resolution No. 180 was passed in confirmation.
