While my dear (if occasionally misguided) colleague Carla Anderson (successfully) crusades to get the grinders back into Love Park on a part-time basis, anyone notice that other skateboarders break the law every single day by doing their damage in Dilworth Plaza? The shaky part of the compromise, joint-use plan - pedestrians until 3 p.m., boarders after 3 - is this: The youthful offenders will not play by the rules. That, too, is part of their X "culture." And the cops let them board, just as they let drivers run the red light at the nearby corner.
