The Board of Directors of the Friends of Graeme Park works with the Historic Site Administrator and Museum Educator to develop and implement long and short range goals and objectives for the site. Together they generate an Annual Plan of fundraising events, educational programs, development projects, and site improvements for Graeme Park.
Some of the activities sponsored by the Friends of Graeme Park are: Living History Days (March, June, September), a Native American Cultural Festival (April/May), Ghost Stories (October), Lectures, Colonial Christmas Decorations (December), and more.
Membership in the Friends of Graeme Park is not required for volunteers; however, volunteers are encouraged to join the Friends in further developing this important Historic Landmark.
How Can You Help?
Graeme Park can only begin to approach its full potential with the assistance of dedicated volunteers who make exciting and innovative programs at the site. The most visible need is for interpretive guides to lead tours for the visiting public. There is a gift shop, 18th century foodways program, living history program, and a full calendar of events, all planned and executed by volunteers. There may also be other ways in which your special talents and skills might be of service to the development of Graeme Park. Your personal reward will be a sense of pride in your abilities, increased knowledge of an important part of your heritage, and membership in the community of enthusiastic volunteers at the site.
