ABOUT THE ELECTRIC FRANKLIN PROJECT
The Independence Hall Association has had one goal in the Franklin Internet project: to bring Ben Franklin to a world audience in a colorful, engaging range of presentations, capturing the interests and imaginations of students, and people of all ages and walks of life. From primary source material, narratives, activities, interactive games, streaming videos, 360° interactive panoramas, and scores of pictures — this site has something for everyone. We are most fortunate to have forged a partnership with Claude-Anne Lopez, whose Temple Diary has made William Temple Franklin's personality come to life, with a captivating voice that tells Franklin's story so artistically.
ushistory.org is a standard setter in history education. Most history-based Internet publishing reflects either historic sites providing information on their venues or universities publishing primary source or scholarly material. Very few sites are able to tell the story of the United States' founding in a narrative style that is friendly, easily navigable, yet historically accurate and in-depth. Our work on ushistory.org, if published in book form, would run to some 3,000 pages.
