Getting to the Hall: Driving Directions

Carpenters' Hall is located at 320 Chestnut Street, between 3rd and 4th Streets. Each of the following sets of directions will lead you to the parking garage on 2nd Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets.

Southbound from I-95

Take exit 17 and go straight on 2nd Street down to the parking garage on 2nd between Chestnut and Walnut Streets.

Northbound from I-95

Take the exit for Independence Hall (a left-hand exit). Follow the signs for 6th Street. On 6th Street go down to Chestnut Street and turn left to 2nd Street. Turn right on 2nd to the parking garage.

Eastbound from I-76 and I-676

Take I-676 eastbound through Center City to the 6th Street exit for Independence Hall. Turn right onto 6th Street and go down 4 blocks to Chestnut Street. Turn left and drive to 2nd Street. Turn right on 2nd Street to the parking garage.

Westbound from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge

Follow the signs on the bridge to 6th Street, Historic Area. Follow 6th Street south to Chestnut Street. Turn left to 2nd Street. At 2nd Street turn right to the parking garage.

Parking

There are other parking lots in the historic area. We recommend that you use a parking lot rather than on-street parking. The parking meters are checked 7 days a week. Please remove or hide all valuables in your car, lock it and take the keys. Do not leave pets inside the car. Remember where you are parked.
