February 16 — Washington's Birthday Celebration
1:00-3:30 PM Admission Charged
Join General Washington as he celebrates his birthday. Activities will include colonial games and children's musket drill.
March 9 — Charter Day
Noon-5PM FREE
Visit an 18th century tavern. Meet the tavernkeeper and his patrons who will invite you to play tavern games of the time period. Visit the Blacksmith Shop and learn about the importance of this trade in the local community.
May 3 — Children's Day
10AM-4PM Admission Charged
Bring the family to the Park for the day and participate in various demonstrations and hands-on activities. See an operating Blacksmith Shop and try your hand at 18th century chores and crafts.
July 20 — Presentation: The British Short Rifle in the American Revolution
2:00PM FREE
Presentation will focus on the British issued short rifle. This weapon was more accurate than the Brown Bess smoothbores and carried by British light infantrymen.
August 17 — Presentation: Health and Sanitation in the Colonial Period
2:00PM FREE
This lively presentation will give you a glimpse into the sights and smells of the cities and military camps at the time of the American Revolution in all its gory details!
September 6 and 7 — Revolutionary Times
10AM-5PM Admission Charged
Annual reenactment of the Battle of Brandywine recreated and narrated battle scenarios, lectures, demonstrations, camp tours, and children's activities.
September 11 — Commoration Ceremony
6:00 PM FREE
At the Flag Pole near Washington's Headquarters.
November 29 — Patriots Day
10AM-4PM Admission Charged
The Battlefield will come alive with military and civilian living historians. Military re-enactors will provide firing demonstrations. Craft demonstrations.
December 13 — The Battlefield by Candlelight
3-7PM Admission Charged
Tour the candlelit homes on Benjamin Ring and Gideon Gilpin. Learn about their families experiences before, during and after the Battle of Brandywine.
