Flourtown, PA — There are good signs for the Black Horse Inn these days, including a new ground sign next to the historic inn that briefly describes the building's history and shows a rendering of the restored structure by local artist, Anthe. The sign was installed Tuesday morning, March 28th, and will stay in place throughout the restoration effort. Once the building is fully restored the sign will be removed from the South lawn in order to make way for a proposed park area.
Meanwhile, the restoration effort progresses with the township appointed Black Horse Inn Advisory Committee (BHIAC) searching now for an architect to help with planning for interior restoration and the Construction Sub Committee to the BHIAC looking to get bids soon for the South and East roof resurfacing.
