Shinnston Men Arrested for Burning Misflown Flag

Police say Michael Nay was angry the flag was upside down.

SHINNSTON — A Harrison County sheriff's deputy has arrested two men in Shinnston for arson.

Michael Nay was apparently offended when he saw a neighbor flying an American Flag upside down, so he set it on fire.

A sheriff's deputy just happened to be driving by and arrested Nay for arson and Steven Hardman as an accessory.

Both men are out on bond.
