There is no mention of the Oneida Nation warriors in refernce to the battle of Barron Hill, or their participation during the Revolutionary war. They are known as America's first allies.

Sounds to me like he witnessed our independence, manifest destiny, and civil war. I feel that it also depicts another war in which Europe unites to attack our land and we are nearly defeated. Could this be WWII, and we merely averted tragedy? Or is another war brewing? "The most fearful is the third..."

Thank you for this marvelous site. I join those who believe George Washington's prayers and speeches should be required reading for all Americans--preferably prior to the 2012 elections.

Everyone American citizen should be required to read this address......they would then have a framework to work with in examining the desperate state our current goverment is in......

Thankyou for posting George Washington's Vision on your sight, which is well done. I want to point out that there are a few "type'os" Thankyou.

A friend told me of visions of Washington. Fascinating .The Lord said something was coming to the world.,but not o worry, for He would rise out of the ashes.

Love the site and hope one day to visit. Just a note.. I noted the age of my 5th Great Uncle General Charles Scott as being 35 when at Valley Forge, it should read 44. Regards.

Can anyone tell me if anyone died on the second floor of the home where Washington had his headquarters? Please email me directly smschaff34@yahoo.com

I was curious if formal uniforms had been designed for Colonial Surgeons and Surgeons Mates? The British dressed their Chirurgeons in officer's uniforms of equivalent rank. The sketches I have seen show our Rev. War doctors in "civilian clothing", when posed.

Martha Washingtons page, the only one i read, was very hard to comprehend. i was confused and had to re read the info many times. important things are not mentioned and i was lost. did George have kids before meeting Martha? because when it said Nelly was getting married it was to "his nephew" and i dont know who "he" is??? not coming back or trying to be rude, the hard/ non flowing/ incomplete read was far too aggravating to attempt more than once. good luck and i hope this is helpful.

My uncle and I have been tracing our family history. We have discovered that my 6 times great-grandfather, John Fair served in the 3rd Pennsylvania brigade at Valley Forge, during the winter of 1777. His great-grand daughter, Susannah was married to James Jackson Bell, who was with John Brown at Battle of Black Jack. I have always been fascinated by American History, I guess now I know why.

Always interested in learning (Ha...RE-LEARNING!) the important details of the history of our great nation. I'm happy to have found this site and will share it with my father. He is an avid arm-chair historian as was his father. They both minored in history and continued their individual independent studies. I share their interests. My grandfather would have absolutely been in awe of the resources that internet technology has afforded us....he would have been an absolute internet history junky! Thanks for your work and for making it accessible to all! God Bless America!

Thank you for your complete answers and the research you've done on the question: " Was George Washington a Christian?" This is valuable to me because you listed your sources too! Thanks again, Leslie

This is my first visit to this site prompted by the fact that I really did not know anything about Benedict Arnold who was mentioned in one of Charles Swindoll's Daily Devotions. All I knew of Benedict A. was that he was an infamouse TRAITOR and I did not want to be called one. I am a Viet Nam veteran and thank you for shedding more light on exactly who Benedict Arnold was and most importantly "The Making of A Benedict Arnold." Thank you so much for this Site!

Every patriotic American should read this and remember that George Washington was not only the Father of Our Country and the general who led us to victory in the Revolution, but that he was a GOD-fearing man as evidenced by his prayers at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78. If had my way, this passage would be required reading by every high school student in America. We are going to lose our country unless our history is made known to our youth. God Bless America.................

My Great Grandfather Milton Bennett Medary was the Architect of Valley Forge Chapel. He was also the Architect of the Bok Singing Tower in Lake Wales, Florida. I just taken his Great Great Grandchildren there just last summer and plan to take them there in the spring. I am proud to be related to such a wonderful person as him, as he touched so many hearts in the work and creations he did.

On 8/13/2007 someone (anonymous) was looking for Hugh Aggings. He was my 7x great-grandfather and his son Enoch & Hannah are buried at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Mullica Hill NJ. Hugh was probably buried in Swedesboro but I haven't found him yet. Sue Wynne also left ba message on this site in 2008. I would like to get in contact with both of you. Please email me.
