Afternoon With the Generals

Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm at the historic General Warren Inne

Join us in our first annual fundraiser on the anniversary of the Battle of Paoli. The American History Theatre will present Generals Washington and Howe mingling with the guests and sharing their experiences, "Musick of Early America" by Robert Mouland, 18th Century refreshments from one of the premier restaurants in the Delaware Valley. Tickets start at $75 and sponsorships are available. See details.

Candlelight Tour of the Battlefield

Saturday, October 11, 2008 starting at 6 pm, Paoli Battlefield, Malvern PA

Join this popular evening event with continuous guided tours within the battlefield and first-person interpreters relating accounts of this bloody conflict where 53 patriots lie forever in a mass grave. Learn new facts about the battle and the times with our New program and children's activities. Admission charge. More information on activities to follow!

2009 National History Day Competition — Southeast PA

Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 8 am to 2 pm Immaculata University — Loyola Hall

PBPF helps arrange numerous displays and NEW displays are welcome. In 2008 we had Ft. Mifflin, Revolutionary and Civil War reenactors, Duffy's Cut Mystery, Blacksmithing, Papermaking, 1864 Philadelphia Sanitary Fair and other exhibits. The public is invited to the competition of Middle School and High School students from the Southeast Region of Pennsylvania. Participants compete in various categories including: film/video, essay, first person interpretation and displays. Judges and volunteers are needed for the event.

2009 Malvern Memorial Parade

Celebrate Independence Day at a real Revolutionary War battlefield as we join with the nationwide bell-ringing celebration with a guest speaker and children's activities such as musket drills & children's calligraphy. More information on activities to follow!
