    Before it became the nation’s first engineered highway, the Lancaster Road had a rich history of migration and commerce. Historian and Educator Tom McGuire sheds light on this important artery during the Revolutionary War, its routes, taverns and tales of the events of 1777–1778.

Night of the Generals Candlelight Tour & Illumination

Saturday, October 8, 2012, 7-9pm

Annual event attracts hundreds of visitors and is great for an unusual family evening out! Continuous tours will lead you through a candle-lit trail to different stops where reenactors recount battles of the 1777 Philadelphia Campaign and how they affected the local population. $5 per person $20 for family (immediate family of 4 or more) donation – and please consider donating to the Landmark Campaign Fund to help achieve National Historic Landmark status (tax deductible!)
